Great Tips for Becoming a Successful Drop-Ship Seller on eBay

Successful Drop-Ship Seller on eBay

Online trading has proved a boom for the enterprising business people. Even for startup or established retailers, online trading has proved a means of making profit by catering to niche markets. The latest addition to the profit-increasing features of new marketing trends is drop shipping. Making best of the drop-shipping opportunities on popular online auction websites such as eBay is a sure way to bring success to your business.

The concept of drop shipping:

It is essential for any business to purchase and maintain the stock, in order to attract more customers, thereby establishing your reputation as a retailer with a great variety of wares available. Even after a customer purchases the goods, the packing and shipping chores take time and money. We have all been in line at that post office. In drop-shipping, instead of investing heavily in purchasing and maintaining the stock, you make a list of products to market from your end, select a few reliable wholesalers and start marketing and selling those items. When a sale is made, you collect the payment from the customer and at the time of shipping that product, you contact the wholesaler for that product and place the order. That order is shipped to the customer’s address but via the drop-shipping arrangement, it is handed over as an ordered delivery for you, the retailer. This helps you retain your link as the retailer with the customer. Thus, in this process, you do not need to invest heavily in purchasing the stock, or spending a considerable sum on warehouse maintenance or packing and shipping activity and arrangement.

How to make the optimal use of the drop-shipping facility?

Obviously, online trading is the surest way of getting maximum number of customers, from any part of the globe. You may not know, but there exist a number of niche markets for specific products year-round. Such markets may be out of reach of your routine retail operations. However, you can cater to such new markets through drop shipping. Again, you may not be aware of wholesalers, suppliers, or manufacturers that might supply just the kind of products your customers are asking for, at an attractive price. The information about such useful providers is definitely helpful in expanding your business. All these things contribute greatly to your expansion of business, increasing the customer base, and reducing your overheads. Such helpful services are available on websites such as eBay. With a little research, inquiries, and comparing pros and cons of the suitable alternatives, you can select a list of potential wholesalers.

Though drop shipping appears to be a lucrative alternative, certain steps should be followed to become a successful drop-ship seller.

State sales tax license: This is necessary to establish your status as a legitimate drop-shipper. Most often, wholesalers are more interested in doing business with professional retailers bringing in big orders rather than individual customers trying to small quantities at wholesale price.

Finding legitimate wholesalers: Not all the wholesalers who claim to ship the goods you purchase are genuine wholesalers who would offer truly wholesale prices. Find the genuine ones and deal with them only.

Find the niche market: Find the specific markets that need particular products. These markets will get you the actual buyers ready to purchase the goods they are looking for, instead of the casual inquirers.

Hope this post is helpful in some shape or form for those of you thinking about drop shipping on ebay.

will post more soon.

Work From Home Using eBay

Work From Home Using eBay

Hi everyone just a few thoughts on ebay, enjoy !!!!

There are millions of people using eBay for everything from generating some extra spending money, to cleaning out old junk in the attic, to replacing their full time income, and even making more money than they have ever imagined. You may think that because there are so many sellers on eBay, you have missed the mark, but you couldn’t be any farther from the truth – more and more sellers are signing up with eBay every day, and enjoying more success with their new job working from home than those who came before them.

To get started working from home with eBay, you’ll need to do a little research. Find out what items sell best on eBay, and focus on finding those items to put up for sale. Figure out what they normally sell for with other sellers, and drop your starting price down a little lower. Even if you only cut a little bit off your final profit, you can end up selling and making more because of the difference in price.

Describe your items in detail when you set up your auctions. Offering too much in your descriptions is always better – your buyers can decide what information they don’t need to read, but make the information available to them. As you sell more and more of the same items, you can re-use your previous descriptions for new auctions, which can save you a lot of time.

Use popular keywords to get your auctions noticed. Take some time to figure out the most popular keywords for the item you are selling, and work those keywords into your auction titles and descriptions. This will get your auctions noticed faster by search engines and other websites. The more people who find your auctions, the more you will sell.

Work hard to keep your conversions up. You can have 100 different auctions running, but not a single one will sell if you don’t know how to get bidders’ attention. This will end up costing you more money and more time in the process, since you’ll need to re-list the items, and tweak your techniques to gain bidders. Focus on doing it right the first time. It may take a couple times to find the best methods for getting more sales, but once you’ve figured it out, you won’t have to worry about wasting money on trying to resell your auctions over and over again.

Once you find a proven system of selling that works, replicate it as often as you can. You will always have a few items that fall through the cracks and don’t sell, and that’s okay – don’t worry about these auctions. Wasting your time trying to sell a few unsold items will take your attention away from the items that are selling. You won’t sell everything all of the time, and just like with a brick-and-mortar store, you have to know when to drop an item that isn’t performing, no matter how well you market it to consumers. Stick to what works, and your eBay home business will continue to grow.

Hope you enjoyed this? trying to post on a more regular basis so hopefuly will have more content soon bye for now.

The Basics Of Drop Shipping Houses

The Basics Of Drop Shipping Houses

For long, the regular retails stores have been the major sources of products. With the development of Internet the online retail stores have become very popular due to their easy access. In the retailing business you are the one who is responsible to hold stock of goods, the packaging and shipping. You have to look into the maintenance of inventory of goods depending upon the demand for the different products. To avoid this problem, some use the fulfillment houses that store merchandise for you, get the orders and ship the products to the customer. Similarly there are some houses or wholesale companies who own the goods and ship them to the customer. This is drop shipping.

Here it’s your company who gets the order and the payment for it and then forwards the order to the drop shipper. In this case the ownership of the product is with the drop shipper, but the customer database is with you. The drop shipper pays you a sales commission on the goods shipped by the company. Generally in industrial areas of different states you will find large buildings similar to warehouses. These would typically be those of the drop shipping companies. They are not open for the general public. They will be catering to the drop ship orders from these locations only.

How does it work?

There are two types of drop shipping facilities, manufacturing wholesale drop shipping and the Internet retailing wholesale drop shipping. In wholesale drop shipping, you have to be aware of the minimum quantity requirements otherwise the stock would remain stuck up with you. However, the popular one is the Internet retailing wholesale drop shipping. It is even useful for those who are looking at home-based business propositions. In this case, it should be understood that you are the retailer without the stock and you will have to find a drop-shipping house to supply the products to your customers.

For using the Internet based drop shipping business, you need to have a portal for your business. You are the retailer in this relationship. You should have an Internet store with the shopping cart facility as well as the capacity to accept credit cards. Then you find a drop shipper who accepts drop shipping those products. You set up an account as the retailer with the drop-ship supplier. On receiving the images and descriptions of the products from the drop shipper you post the same on to the Internet store. When the prospective customers visit the site and decide on the products on the basis of the price quoted, he purchases the item using his credit card and pays the amount with some additional shipping fees in it. In turn, you send the order to the drop shipper with the name and address details of the customer. He in turn sends the products to the customer directly. The drop shipper charges the wholesale price plus the shipping charges. The customer receives the goods at the doorstep.

Thus drop shipping is useful when you want to keep yourself away from the worries of maintaining inventory as well as the risk on the unsold goods. The shipping and logistic concerns are also taken care of by the drop shipping houses.

Hope this of some use to you all any questions feel free to ask

till next time

Catch Up

Master class catch up

Hello everyone I know it’s been a while, life has been so very busy I have sat and tried to write my catch up for a while now but never managed to complete the post, shame on me. We are now on to week thirteen my last post was five and six.

I have been concentrating on my college web design course, I have had to build a web site using css and it has taken some doing hope I have passed, at least I have got the hang of css (cascading style sheets) I did not know what it meant at the beginning of last month.

If you are getting into writing your own web pages or sales pages if you get stuck I have to recommend this fantastic site, w3schools.com this site is very informative and very helpful with all things web design defiantly worth a look.

So the Master class I have been playing catch up and have really struggled to find my niche but have after some research and a lot of reading, I am making some good progress.

I have managed to get my graphics sorted and have to say they look great thanks Steve. (Mental note leave feedback at planet divinity). So have moved on quite well this last week I have nearly got a draft copy of my eBook, feel like I am nearly caught up now. My goal is to get caught up by the end of this week in between the diy, and work. I am still enjoying the course and learning loads.

Thanks for the great comments from all the Jt students and the support when i was way way behind you are a great bunch.

Will post again later in the week bye for now

I was quite excited because I new that week six was starting early with a webinar on Sunday evening, so I booked my place on the webinar and logged in when the time came, it was great I am not sure how many of us were actually on line but I really enjoyed the interaction with other students, first class job John thanks, well done for overcoming one of your fears. I had a few questions I wanted to ask but as the webinar went on all my questions got answered, as I said it was a really good session I would hope for more in the future.

Masterclass week 4

John Thornhills Masterclass week 4

Hello everyone sorry its been a while since my last post, time really did run out for me over the last week .

It has been really busy time what with johns course, other family commitments,

I seriously hope I have not bitten off more than I can chew, I decided as my venture into Internet marketing increases in speed, I find myself not understanding web design as in depth as I would like, html, css, xhtml, e.t.c, you might be thinking whats he talking about. These were my  feelings exactly so I decided to enroll on a part time Webb design course.  Don’t get me wrong Johns walk through videos are brilliant but I am one of those people who likes to know how, why,  when and what for. It is great fun learning new things not had that learning buzz since I was at college a lot of years ago.I will keep you informed on my progress this has taken another evening from me but I think it will be worth while .

But the more I try and do, I have realised that I really do have to plan my time better, not one of my strong points but hopefuly improving all the time. (will keep you posted on my progress )

I received part 4 of Johns course last Monday and as usual eagerly read my pdf file, I had already ordered  my blog graphics and received them so was expecting to be making the finishing touches to my blog  (as I think you will agree is looking pretty good) but as I read on I realised this would not be happening, but instead we were adding an opt in email capture box to our blogs  I already had my aweber account set up so Lucky for me my week for was almost completed on the Monday night I managed to finish completely on Tuesday so allowing me to carry on with my busy week.

So to conclude so far the course is really good have learnt loads and still lots more to come, I have started to jot down a few Ideas for posts,If you have any requests please let me Know via comments. I am now engaged in some research on these ideas so they will be coming soon. And no I have not forgotten about the free stuff just trying to put some really worth while things together for you so watch this space check back soon.

Till my next post

Regards Adam

Masterclass week 3

 John Thornhills Masterclass Week 3

Hello , half way through  the week now, week three started for me on Monday when johns course material came through. I was eager to get started, I managed to move through the list quite quickly because I was already registered for a few things that needed to be done. So I think you will agree that the overall look of the blog is looking good with a new theme, I have just ordered new header and footer for the site so next week the look will change again, for the better.

So Tuesday and tonight have been spent doing research and generally getting to grips with the settings of the blog site, I needed  to make a few changes and tweaks, I think this is just a continuous process, If you are always looking to improve you will end up with a great site great products and great content for your readers.

As part of  my research I have taken to heart Johns lessons, one of which is to provide good new fresh content on your blog for your readers, so watch this space hopefully over the next few weeks I will be adding some different posts about different subjects That will hopefully be of some use to you all.

I will also be adding a free stuff section so keep checking in.

Regards Adam
